Why Does It Work?

The nervous system is constantly learning and adapting.

By exploring gentle variations in movement and paying attention to what you feel, you can discover habits that may be limiting you and develop new options for movement and action.

Many people find that improvements in comfort, balance, coordination, and ease extend well beyond the lesson itself.

Why I Teach Feldenkrais

My path to becoming a Feldenkrais teacher began with my own search for relief from chronic myofascial pain and migraines. Through the Feldenkrais Method®, I experienced gradual but profound changes in how I moved, felt, and lived. Over time, pain and anxiety gave way to greater comfort, resilience, self-awareness, and the freedom to fully enjoy the activities I love—from hiking and mountain biking to kayaking and skiing.

I have also witnessed the transformative impact of this work in others, including my mother, who discovered greater balance, mobility, confidence, and independence through Feldenkrais lessons. Experiences like these continue to deepen my appreciation for the remarkable capacity of the nervous system to learn, adapt, and develop new possibilities throughout life.

Before becoming a Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner®, I spent more than two decades as a biomedical engineer specializing in neuroengineering and neuromodulation technologies for chronic pain and movement disorders. Today, I bring together my backgrounds in neuroscience, engineering, yoga, and movement education to help people move with greater ease, comfort, confidence, and enjoyment in everyday life.
