Awareness Through Movement® (ATM®) Classes

Mindful Movement Explorations to learn to move with more ease, comfort, and confidence

Many people discover greater comfort, mobility, balance, confidence, and ease in everyday activities—from walking, gardening, and hiking to yoga, sports, and exercise.

In an Awareness Through Movement® class, I guide you through gentle movement explorations that invite you to notice how you move and how different parts of yourself work together. Through curiosity and attention rather than effort or force, you’ll discover new possibilities and the pleasure of moving with your whole self.

Lessons are relaxed, exploratory, and adaptable for nearly all ages and abilities. Whether you’re recovering from injury, managing chronic tension, looking to improve performance, or simply curious about moving and feeling better, you’ll be encouraged to explore at your own pace. By exploring gentle variations and paying attention to what you feel, you can uncover habits that may be limiting you and discover new options for movement and action.

I teach in-person classes through the City of Pleasanton, and also offer private lessons in person and online.

Functional Integration® (FI®) Lessons

Personalized, hands-on Feldenkrais® sessions designed around your goals and challenges

People seek out private lessons for many reasons: persistent pain or tension, injury recovery, balance concerns, movement limitations, athletic performance, or simply the desire to move better, feel better, and live better.

Using gentle touch and guided awareness, I help you discover new ways of organizing movement that reduce unnecessary effort and improve coordination. As you learn to move with your whole self, everyday activities—and the things you love to do—often become easier, more comfortable, and more enjoyable.

Each lesson is tailored to your individual needs, interests, and abilities.
